About the experience

Combine the art of metal working and cider making for this Forging and Tasting Experience in Hereford. Spend 3 hours learning traditional blacksmithing techniques in a session run by an experienced blacksmith. You will be guided through the steps of using heat and a hammer to make your own handcrafted bottle opener from raw iron. Once your new bottle opener has been forged you will be off to the nearby Westons Cider. The cider producers make award winning cider and perry draught. Westons will show you the ins and outs of making their delicious cider from harvesting, weighting and washing the apples before they get sent to the press to ferment and mature. Learning the process from blossom to bottle is thirsty work, so Westons gives the opportunity to sample some of the cider and perry. You might even like it so much you will buy a couple bottles to open with your new handcrafted bottle opener!
