About the experience
Our 60 Minute vintage flying experience in an iconic Boeing Stearman biplane is quite unlike any other that fans of historic military planes will have ever been on before! Based in the Dorset countryside at Compton Abbas Airfield near Shaftesbury, this is one experience where you can be as hands on as possible, as you'll be able to work with your pilot at the airfield to establish how much time you want at the controls of the Stearman. Certainly, however much time you want to spend flying it when airborne, there's nothing that beats replicating even a small amount of the excitement experienced by trainee pilots from the US Air Force, US Navy and Canadian Air Force who learnt to fly in them during World War II. And with spectacular views to enjoy looking out over Cranborne Chase, Fontmell and Melbury Downs, you'll definitely have special memories to keep forever!

- All under 18's must be accompanied by an adult on the airfield
- Maximum weight 17 stone (108kg)

- Participants must be able to walk 50 meters unaided and safely egress the aircraft themselves
- You must declare yourself medically fit to fly and complete a consent form
- Spectators are welcome to come and watch but will only be able to view the take off and landing
