About the experience
The Boeing Stearman is undoubtedly one of the most iconic biplanes of its time, and on this 30 minute vintage flying experience, you'll have the opportunity to fly in one of these historic planes from Compton Abbas Airfield based near Salisbury in Wiltshire and Shaftesbury in Dorset! This legendary little military training biplane was produced in the thousands back in World War II, with pilots for the US Air Force and US Navy as well as the Canadian Air Force bravely gaining their military wings in them. Its post war uses ranged from the daring (aerobatics and wing walking) to the practical (crop dusting) but on this half hour flight, where you can decide with the pilot whether you just want to enjoy the views from the open cockpit or if you want to have a go at controlling the plane once airborne. Either way, it all adds up to a truly special time in the air that vintage plane enthusiasts will want to remember for years to come!

- Participants must be able to walk 50 meters unaided and safely egress the aircraft themselves
- You must declare yourself medically fit to fly and complete a consent form
- Spectators are welcome to come and watch but will only be able to view the take off and landing
