About the experience

Are you looking for a thrilling activity to add to your day out in Brighton? Look no further than the outdoor archery centre located just north of the city centre near the A27. Whether you're a beginner or an enthusiast, this venue is perfect for everyone. The stunning surrounding countryside serves as a breathtaking backdrop as you shoot arrows on the farmlands at the foot of the green grass ridge beyond. Gary, the owner and operator of the shooting ground, takes great pride in this idyllic venue and loves nothing more than watching guests have fun in the archery area. With the help of GNAS-trained coaches, you'll improve your archery skills significantly in just one hour. Even if you're a complete newcomer to the sport, you'll be amazed at the progress you can make. Safety is paramount, and the rules and regulations will be explained before heading out to the range. You'll learn the basic golden rules of archery, including stance, holding the bow, gripping the riser, drawing the bow, and release techniques. By mastering these techniques, you'll be well on your way to becoming a top-notch archer. During your session, you'll experience traditional target archery, where you aim at circular targets between 80 and 100ft away, just like they do in the Olympics! But if you're looking for an extra dose of excitement, air rifle shooting is also available as a bolt-on activity.
