You're invited to a Wild Wolf Breakfast with this unique animal encounter experience, bringing you face to face with some of the most unique carnivores at Hoo Zoo near Telford in Shropshire on an early morning wolf experience as part of a group of up to four participants. Join the experienced keepers as you help prepare raw meat and feed the zoo's resident Arctic Wolves, Eurasian Wolf hybrids and Red and Corsac foxes. You'll use food tongs to feed the wolves their favourite breakfast time meats from the keeper's area adjacent to the wolf paddock, which will afford you a fascinating chance to observe their behaviours and pack dynamics, with the keeper offering more information about how they look after these special creatures. You may even have the chance to enter the fox enclosure to see and feed the Red and Corsac foxes by hand under the guidance of the keeper, who will ensure your safety at all times. After your encounter, you will be free to explore the rest of Hoo Zoo and the many other interesting animals and creatures that there are to see!

    • Bring your camera to capture some memorable photo opportunities
    • At the keeper's discretion, the food preparation element may be omitted to allow more time for animal interactions. This may happen if the keeper feels the wolves or foxes are particularly interactive on the day
    • Animal welfare is the top priority. All interactions depend on the animals' behaviour, welfare and willingness to participate, so specific animals and activities cannot be guaranteed

    What to Wear:

    • Full-length trousers covering the ankles must be worn. Leggings and tights are not permitted
    • Closed-toe and closed-heel footwear must be worn. Sandals and Crocs are not permitted
    • Suitable clothing for the weather is essential, as the experience takes place outdoors

    Please note: These clothing and footwear requirements are compulsory for animal welfare and visitor safety reasons.

    • Minimum age 16
    • Under 18s must be accompanied by a participating adult
    • Selected weekdays and weekends throughout the year
    • Please arrive 10 minutes before your session start time to complete registration
    • Due to the popularity of this experience please book well in advance to avoid disappointment
    • All dates and times are subject to availability

Great day amazing animals me and my daughter who loves wolves had an amazing timethe staff were fantastic my only suggestion is to have a separate area or line to pay for gifts as there was only one line for gifts and people paying to enter

Great experience bought as a Christmas gift. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. The keeper that supported the experience was very knowledgeable and keen to ensure we safe whilst enjoying the experience. We enjoyed spending further time at the venue after our experience.

We had the combined wolf and fox feeding experience which was fabulous and a very memorable experienceYou feed the wolves through the bars from the keeper area and they are very eager to engage. It is such a privilege to have a close encounter with such magnificent wild animals.We then went into the enclosure with the Corsac Foxes, a small, and very nimble, fox from Central Asia. They engage well, taking the food you offer quickly and dash off to eat it away from each other. Very beautiful foxes.The HooZoo keepers are very friendly, knowledgeable and happy to use your cameraphone to take photos.
