Scuba Diving Experience Days: Dive into adventure with this Bristol-based SCUBA diving course, designed to prepare you for diving anywhere in the world! With a PADI Open Water diving licence, you’ll be recognised as a competent and safe diver, ready to explore breathtaking dive sites and enjoy thrilling underwater experiences. SCUBA diving is an extraordinary sport that lets you encounter stunning and unusual marine life while experiencing the serenity and weightlessness of moving through the water – all while breathing underwater for the first time!

Before heading out on your own dives, it’s essential to learn key skills to keep you safe underwater. The PADI Open Water course teaches vital safety techniques and buoyancy control – all in a fun, hands-on environment. The course is flexible, taking place over three full days or evenings and weekends if that suits you better, combining classroom learning, pool practice, and open water training for a fully realistic diving experience.

Your instructors are experienced, passionate divers who have guided countless first-time divers underwater. They understand the common fears and concerns beginners have and will ensure you feel confident and safe. By the end of the course, you’ll have all the skills, knowledge, and certification needed to become a fully licensed Open Water diver, ready to explore the wonders beneath the waves!

  • Minimum Age: 10

    You will need to be able to swim 200m and tread water for 10 minutes. There is a medical questionnaire you must fill out before diving. In some circumstances, you may be required to obtain clearance from a doctor.

  • All SCUBA gear will be provided for you at the SCUBA diving school, including your wetsuit, fins, mask and SCUBA gear. Please bring a swimming costume for underneath your wetsuit and a towel to dry off with.

  • The Bristol scuba diving PADI open water course is available throughout the year on regular dates. All bookings are subject to availability.

    You can choose to do one of the following:

    • One full day of pool and theory (9am to 5pm) followed by two full days of open water diving (9am to 5pm)
    • Five weekly evening sessions (Thursdays 7pm to 9pm or Mondays 7:30pm to 9:30pm ) followed by two full days of open water diving (9am to 5pm).
    Participants: The PADI Open Water Course Bristol is for 1 participant.
