Our Discover Scuba Diving UK sessions provide a wonderful introduction to the deep sea's intriguing underwater environment. Anyone can learn to scuba dive if you love swimming and feel at ease in the water. At one of the numerous centres located all around England, novice divers will be able to have a go in a safe, regulated atmosphere with excellent instructors.

My two granddaughters 13 15 had the experience and thoroughly enjoyed it. The initial training was delivered well and confirmation was established that the girls understood what they had been told. They were well equipped and had plenty of time in the pool to get used to the breathing apparatus. Only question is where do they go or what do they have to do to progress

Overview

- You must be comfortable in the water and able to swim
- Scuba diving UK - Suitable for ages 10+, under 18's must be accompanied by an adult
- To scuba dive safely you should not be extremely overweight or out of condition
- Your respiratory and circulatory systems must be in good health
- A person with coronary disease, a current cold or congestion, epilepsy, a severe medical problem or who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs should not dive
- If you have asthma, heart disease or other chronic medical conditions you should consult your doctor before participating
- A medical statement will need to be completed prior to taking part in any scuba diving lessons
- You will need to take swimwear and a t-shirt to wear in the pool

- As all scuba diving UK locations are different, please check when booking regarding spectators, but as most learn to scuba dive workshops take place at indoor pools with good facilities - spectators are usually welcome

It was basic in term of learning to dive but enjoyable. My son loved using the electric propeller under water. The pool was nice and warm but not very deep. A good experience for starters.

There was limited availability in my area WestYorkshire which suited me as far as time scales etc, either evening sessions only or fully booked,which was disappointing, so had to travel, but the Scuba for Two experience with MANTA SCUBA Nottingham was great, took my 10 yr old Daughter and we both really enjoyed it, the team were great with her and never left her side until she felt confident, great experience

The experience was superb although the logistics of the afternoon could have been better. Due to the size of the group signed up it was necessary to attend the pool and complete our experience as 2 separate groups. However we were all instructed to arrive at the original start time of 2 pm which resulted in us as we were in the 2nd group waiting at the lake for 1 12 hours before making our way to the pool where we had to then wait for a further 12 hour. It was unfortunate that the earlier group who were on a 4 5 water session did not vacate pool and swap over kit very swiftly which meant that by the time we were kitted up to start it was 5.15 pm and we finished at 5.55 pm to remove kit and vacate the venue before returning to the lake to complete paperwork, which could have been completed in the main during the 112 hours we had previously been waiting. The experience was fab, instructors great and supportive, just a shame logistics not smoother and that we did not have the hour expected in the water.

Great experience and introduction to Scuba Diving. Our instructor Jamie started with a briefing so we understood the session and what we were going to cover then we collected our equipment. Jamie went over the equipment with us explaining how everything worked. Then off to the pool for the dive experience. We covered various basic safety and bouyancy excercises then spent the rest of the session getting used to this new experience. All very relaxed and no pressure. Thank you to Jamie for a great patient introduction to Scuba and Pauline at DiveIn for organising it.
