Enjoy a picnic and walk with donkeys in Surrey! These two-hour group experiences take place at a farm near Guildford where an adorable herd of donkeys calls home. During your visit to the Surrey farm, you will have the opportunity to meet some friendly donkeys. You can groom them and then take a leisurely stroll with them through the fields and tracks surrounding the farm. Walking alongside your donkey, you will have the chance to build a connection and even start to understand each other. It will be a fun experience for both you and the donkey! It's true to say that each donkey has its own personality. For instance, Jimmy is a handsome donkey with a sweet nature, while Valentine loves to cuddle. Becky is a fabulous racing donkey, while Joseph is studious and loves to please. Abbey is a sassy and loud donkey, and Ellie is the gentlest little soul. After returning to base, you can take donkey selfies before enjoying a farmhouse picnic with sandwiches and cakes. This is the perfect experience for animal lovers who want to relax in the morning or afternoon.

Everything about this experience was brilliant. From being given directions to the experience in the first instance, through to the very end, sitting on hay bales enjoying a sumptuous picnic, everything was well managed, professional and well thought through.It was for my wifes birthday present and I wanted her to have a good time, this exceeded her expectations and really made her day thank you.

    • On arrival you'll be greeted before meeting and getting to know the donkeys
    • Opportunity to groom the donkeys and take pictures
    • Enjoy a donkey walk around the farm (you may form part of a group of up to 8 people)
    • After your walk you will have you picture taken with your donkey on your own device
    • Enjoy your picnic including a selection of sandwiches and cakes (optional picnic extras can be purchased when making your booking)
    • Before you leave get another chance to say goodbye to the donkeys
    • Please allow two hours on site for this experience
    • As the experience takes place on a farm which has uneven ground and long grass please wear suitable clothing and be prepared for potentially getting muddy
    • Sensible footwear such as wellies, walking boots or trainers must be worn.
    • Open toed shoes cannot be worn
    • Dogs are not allowed on the farm
    • Not suitable for spectators
    • Under 16s must be accompanied by a participating adult
    • Participants must be able to walk a minimum of a mile in grassland terrain
    • This experience is not suitable for wheelchair users or anyone with limited mobility
    • This experience operates from March - November, subject to availability
    • Please note: Due to popularity, weekends get fully booked quickly, and it's best to book in advance.

Great afternoon walking the donkeys with picnic included. Friendly, knowledgeable and experienced people and lovely donkeys. We walked Gerald Diamond Pollyanna and they were all very cute.

Best day out with donkeys. Enjoyed picnic first which was more than expected. Loved grooming the donkeys as much as they did. The walk was absolutely magical through fields and spotting a deer was just an extra bonus to the day. Would definitely recommend experience.

My husband bought me picnic with the donkeys, it was a fantastic experience, we were met by staff who said what our experience was going to be and a little history on the donkeys, we were met by Alex the owner of the farm, learnt the history of it all then we met the donkeys and groomed them, the donkeys who we were walk had their harness put on , had a lovely walk with them then afterwards had a lovely picnic. I recommend this experience.
