About the experience
If you were one of the many enamoured by Tom Cruise’s star return to the big screen last year as Captain Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell in Top Gun: Maverick, then you’ve got the chance to take on a special mission and join his team on this exclusive themed flight simulator experience. Your first sortie in the simulator pod will be a training exercise, which gives you a chance to try out your low level, tight-valley flying. It’s very fast and furious, so you’ll need to have your wits about you! Then once you’ve chosen your cool flying nickname, you’ll prepare to take flight in your fully armed jet into the enemy domain, where it’s every man for himself, as you fight off the enemy’s Su-57s that are trailing you and do your best to outsmart them! You’ll get ready to lock on your target as you approach the uranium plant and release the air-to-ground missiles to destroy! It all adds up to a truly exciting flight simulator package for Top Gear fans that will take your breath away!

- The hour is split into 2 missions as you learn how to fly and fight at low level - using the same locations as used in the film.
Mission 1 - Maverick Sidewinder:
- Taking off from China Lake NAWS air base, you'll fly over to Lake Isabella to start the "sidewinder" valley where you practice low level flying, avoiding enemy radar, before taking our a simulated target
Mission 2 - Maverick Dagger One:
- Take off from the Aircraft Carrier (location unknown) and proceed into enemy territory, low level, avoiding the same before taking out the Uranium Plant and then dogfighting your way back to the carrier. You only get one shot at this.
Information
- Minimum age 10
- Under 16s must be accompanied on site by an adult
- Access to the simulator is by climbing over the sides (just like a real aircraft)
- Steps are provided to assist
- For those with limited mobility the cockpit side can be removed for easier access
- Up to 4 guests may wait in the lounge area during your session
- Due to limited space in the sim hall only one standing spectator is permitted
- This is a fixed based simulator and does not move
