Fans of the Bridget Jones films are sure to love this "v. good" 2 ½ hour long walking tour of Central London, taking in many of the filming locations that featured in all three of the films - Bridget Jones’ Diary (2001), Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (2004) and Bridget Jones’ Baby (2016)! The creation of journalist and author Helen Fielding, the antics and misadventures of the hapless heroine Bridget Jones were first published as a daily column in The Independent newspaper in 1995, before being turned first into a bestselling novel in 1996, and then the first of three box office smash movies, starring Renée Zellweger in the title role alongside Hugh Grant and Colin Firth, and the character has remained a touchstone for many a thirtysomething woman trying to navigate the tricky world of life, love and work over the last 25 years. This excellent tour, conducted at a gentle, leisurely pace, really brings to life so many of the memorable moments from all three films, from the Greek restaurant in London Bridge where Mark Darcy and Daniel Cleaver famously came to blows (literally) through the restaurant window, to the iconic door to Bridget’s flat, located above a pub in Borough Market. All this, plus Mark Darcy’s offices, and even the actual newsagents where Bridget bumps into Mark during the Aghani-Heaney case outside the Royal Courts. You’ll have plenty of chances to take selfies along the many stops on your tour, and your tour guide - who’s a superfan, very well versed in all the classic one liners from the film and the songs on it’s soundtrack - will be your perfect accompaniment to this walking tour celebrating one of the most famous leading ladies in romantic comedy film history!
