About the experience

Are you up for an exciting and unique outdoor activity? Then axe throwing in Brighton is the perfect choice! Don't worry, you don't need to be a burly logger to enjoy this backyard pastime. It's a great choice for a fun-filled Brighton stag or hen do. The axe-throwing experience is located on a farm estate within the South Downs in Sussex, offering a peaceful and countrified setting. But don't be fooled, it's just minutes away from the bustling and energetic vibe of Brighton, with the University of Sussex and the Brighton and Hove stadium nearby. Once you arrive, the expert instructors will guide you through every step of throwing an axe. They will show you the importance of your stance, how to grip the handle of the axe, and how far you need to stand from the target, depending on the size and length of the axe's shaft. The goal is to have a full rotation so your axe can land squarely on the target you're aiming for. Don't worry if you're not strong or don't have experience with axes, anyone can throw! The technique is more important than brute strength, and the instructors will show you just that. You'll start by throwing smaller, easier-to-handle 12" Ninja axes before moving on to Tomahawks and then bad axes. You'll see how you do in the target area of three scoring zones and whether you have what it takes to become the champion axe thrower.
