About the experience

Calling all adventure seekers! Learn the art of blacksmithing and make your own stylish axes on a three-day course in Kent. Meet Owen Bush, a super-talented smith who has been working with metal for many years and has taught pupils from all over the world. His passion and enthusiasm for forging "soul into steel" is contagious, and you'll be inspired to create your own unique pieces inspired by myths and legends. Don't worry if you've never done any forging before. Owen and his assistant will be there to help you every step of the way, and modern power tool aids can help if you need them. The course is well-structured and paced to ensure you never feel rushed, and all teaching is geared towards you. Get ready for a hands-on experience where you will learn to forge two axes using traditional techniques - one by forging iron around a steel edge and the other by using the ‘punch and drift' method. It might be hot and physical at times, but the reward is walking out of the Kent forge with two axes hand-crafted with soul and passion. Don't miss out on this unforgettable adventure. Join the axe-making course now and discover the joy of creating something truly unique with your own two hands.
