About the experience

Are you searching for an exciting experience that lets you explore the best of both city and country life? Look no further than these flying lessons at Manchester's City Airport! This small yet well-equipped general aviation airport, located near Eccles, is the perfect place to learn how to fly. With a team of friendly and experienced instructors and a fleet of light aircraft, you'll be in good hands as you take to the skies. During these trial flying lessons, you'll get an amazing aerial view of Manchester's cityscape and surrounding countryside. You'll be able to see everything from the Manchester Ship Canal to the M60, M62 and M602 motorways, and you'll be amazed at how the world looks from above. It's an unforgettable experience that will leave you breathless, and you'll be able to appreciate just how close Manchester City is 'as the crow flies'. The school owns and operates the planes used for these lessons, which come in two- and four-seater options. Depending on your preference, you can choose between 30 and 50-minute flight durations. You'll also have the opportunity to discuss your preferred flight path with your instructor, whether you want to head west towards Blackpool or Southport or take an easterly route towards the Pennines. Before you take off, your instructor will ensure that you have completed all the necessary paperwork and pre-flight checks. Once you're in the air, you'll have the opportunity to take control of the plane and fly for as long as possible. It's a truly unforgettable experience that will leave you with a newfound appreciation for the beauty of the world from above.
