About the experience

Discover the hidden beauty of nature on a woodland photography masterclass near Coventry, guided by expert photographer Alan. This immersive one-day course blends hands-on practice with insightful theory, all set against the backdrop of a picturesque corner of the national forest, just west of Coventry. With a maximum of three participants per session, you’ll benefit from plenty of personal guidance and one-to-one attention. Alan is not only a highly skilled landscape photographer but also a gifted teacher, known for sharing his extensive knowledge with energy, warmth, and encouragement. His passion for outdoor photography shines through in every part of the workshop. Your day is thoughtfully structured: you’ll start with theory and camera settings, then head out on a two-hour woodland walk to put your skills into practice. After capturing your shots, you’ll return for an image review and post-production session, learning how to bring your landscapes to life. Expect to gain valuable skills, capture stunning photographs, and enjoy a peaceful stroll through charming woodland, all just a short distance from Coventry city centre. These workshops run on select dates throughout the year, allowing you to experience—and photograph—the forest’s unique beauty in every season: from the crisp, frosty charm of winter to the vibrant colours of spring, summer, and autumn.
