Thrilling white water rafting experience in Glasgow! Prepare to make a splash at this unique urban watersports centre in Scotland by riding the rapids in a raft. Located at Pinkston, just beyond the M8 in Glasgow, this watersports centre is Scotland's only artificial white water facility. It's very close to the city and offers a fantastic opportunity for groups to try something new - but be warned, you'll be getting wet! The flat-water basin, opened in 2014, features water of bathing quality suitable for swimming, kayaking, and other activities. During the rafting, you'll navigate a challenging 100-meter-long, purpose-built whitewater course filled with swirling water obstacles and challenges. A team of six will board an inflatable raft with a guide steering. Each person will have a paddle to help them move and steer through the course. The guide stands at the stern, steering and encouraging everyone! Since this is Scotland, you'll be dressed in a full wetsuit, buoyancy aid, and helmet. Safety is a top priority, so there will be an on-shore safety briefing before you set out onto (or into?) the water. White water rafting at this wee gem of a place in Glasgow is great fun. It’s suitable from the age of 10, so whether you’re a family, mates, work colleagues, couple or solo, you can ride these rapids!
