After meeting your instructor and getting a full briefing, things get real when you suit up in a military-style flight suit. This isn’t a gentle sightseeing trip - it's all about pushing both you and the aircraft to its limits. For perspective, a Boeing 737 take-off gives you around 0.4G… this experience hits up to 3G just on take-off. Once airborne, you’ll power through exhilarating aerial manoeuvres that deliver everything from complete weightlessness to moments where you will feel more than four times heavier than normal. It’s fast, intense and utterly thrilling. Feeling bold? Your pilot can even hand over the controls, letting you initiate those G-force-inducing climbs, dives and turns yourself. You’ll need a steady stomach and a sense of adventure, but the reward is huge: an unforgettable, astronaut-style thrill ride - available weekdays only.

    • Safety briefing: 4 people can attend the same group briefing, there are up to 3 aircraft available
    • You will be kitted out in a high quality military flying suit
    • Detailed flight and safety briefing
    • Learn about the background to space flight
    • Introduction to the cockpit controls
    • A 35 minute flight experience in a T67 Firefly ex-military training aircraft (chock to chock)
    • Take-off and get to know the aeroplane
    • Introduction to the effects of the controls-turning, climbing and descending
    • Feel the same acceleration that astronauts experience on take-off from the launch pad
    • Replicate the sensation of being weightless, as astronauts would feel in orbit
    • Experience your body feeling 4.5 times its normal weight as you simulate the forces on re-entry
    • Debrief, including a review of your flight, the amount of Gs pulled ad a signed flight certificate
    • The opportunity to purchase a 360-degree video of your flight experience
    • Please allow up to 2-3 hours on site for your experience
    • Take the controls and fly the aircraft yourself

    • Aerobatic flights do not take place over the airfield, but spectators will be able to watch take off and landing of the aircraft
    • Participants are welcome to bring up to two guests into the crew room who may attend the pre-flight briefing (subject to space)
    • There is plenty of outside space for friends and family to come and watch you take off and land
    • There is a lovely cafe on site which serves excellent food and is dog friendly

    • You will be required to complete a medical self-certification form before flying
    • Light flat shoes with a good grip must be worn - trainers are ideal
