About the Experience

Wakeboarding Experience Days: Whether you are trying wakeboarding for the first time or looking to sharpen your skills, these wakeboarding lessons in Devon offer the perfect mix of adrenaline and expert instruction. With professional tuition tailored to your ability and all equipment provided, this experience is ideal for complete beginners and confident riders alike.

You will be pulled across the calm, glassy waters of the Exmouth Estuary by a powerful speedboat while experienced instructors assess your technique and provide personalised coaching. You can start at a comfortable pace and build up speed as your confidence grows – progression is fast, and before long you could be carving across the wake with ease.

The experience includes a one-hour session, with two 15-minute rides behind the boat, plus time for briefing, fitting your wetsuit and buoyancy aid, and drying off afterwards. Safety guidance and technique tips are given throughout, ensuring you get the most from every moment on the water.

Intense, exhilarating and undeniably cool, wakeboarding in Devon is an unforgettable watersports experience. Expect a serious arm workout, plenty of laughs, and a huge sense of achievement once you step back onto dry land.

  • You should be able to swim (50 metres), and be comfortable in the water if you want to learn to wakeboard (certainly if you want to enjoy yourself)!

    Wakeboarding in Devon is available to participants over the age of 8.

    Under 14's must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

    This sport is unsuitable for pregnant women.

    • You will need to have your own towel and swim suit/shorts.

    The Centre will provide you with;

    • Wetsuit (if you have your own, by all means bring it)
    • Buoyancy Aid
    • Gloves (if needed)

    Dry Bags are also provided, so that cameras, phones and valuables can be safely brought on-board.

  • The main season for wakeboarding in Devon is from April to November.

    Spectators Allowed on Site: Yes

    Provided there is room on the boat, Family and friends are more than welcome to join the trip and watch as you learn to wakeboard. There is a small charge for this, and it provides superb photo opportunities to capture your moments of triumph and your epic face-plants! Wakeboarding can be just as entertaining for spectators as it is for the boarders themselves.

    If there is no room on the boat, spectators are welcome to observe from the bank. Don't worry, you will still see the rises and falls of your loved one!

  • Experience Duration: 1:00

    Time Spent at Venue: 1:30

    The Devon Wakeboarding Experience lasts for one hour, which includes two 15-minute pulls'.

    Arrive 30 minutes before your booking, and remember to allow for drying-off time afterwards.

    Being sheltered, and with its own micro-climate it is generally ideal for wakeboarding, however extreme weather conditions can still occasionally affect the area.

    It is in your interest to contact the centre the day before your experience, and on the morning of your trip if you are still unsure.
