Fancy trying out something new? A new sport perhaps? Then why not get a head start and purchase this Lee Valley VeloPark, Velodrome Taster Experience? Have the experience of a lifetime and ride along the London Olympic banked tack! With this experience you will have an introduction to track cycling and will be coached using a fixed wheel bike and will be taught the skills needed to safely ride the banked track. Your session will last up to 60 minutes, so will give you plenty of time to warm up to the track and get used to the 250m banked circuit. Don’t fret, everything you could possibly need, including a bike and helmet, will be included or available to hire on the day, the Look Keo-cleat compatible shoes included. However you will need to bring track gloves with you, but if you can’t find them, no worries, these are also available to hire. Now the bike itself has no gears, no breaks and no suspension, just pedals… so keep pedalling, but don’t let this put you off! You will have all the guidance you need from expert coaches standing by.

    • Pick up a coffee or snack in 42 Degree Café on the concourse whilst watching all the action

    • Track mitts/cycling gloves must be worn and can be hired on the day for an addition charge of £3
    • Cycling shoes are recommended however normal trainers can be worn
    • Look Keo-cleated cycling shoes can be hired on the day for a charge of £7
    • Shoulders must be covered
    • Participants must arrive at the VeloPark reception at least 30 minutes before their session start time

Truly amazing experience and a must for any cycling enthusiast. The team on site are really helpful and the coach gradually builds up your knowledge and confidence so youre ready to smash that flying lap. The only downside is youre sure to want another go to beat your time.
