Kitesurfing Experience Days: Take your kitesurfing skills to the next level with this exhilarating three-day course in Poole, designed to build confidence, control, and technique with expert instruction.

This in-depth course introduces you to the fundamentals of kitesurfing in a safe, supportive environment. Day one begins on land, where you will learn kite control, wind theory, and power management using trainer kites, before heading onto the water for hands-on practice in Poole Harbour’s shallow kite zone. Here, you will put your skills into action—body dragging, moving through the water, and gaining confidence with the kite.

On day two, you will focus on board skills, aiming to get up and riding as quickly as possible, with guidance from your instructor. By day three, it’s all about refining technique, building independence, and spending quality time on the kite as you work towards an independent kitesurf qualification. Perfect for water sports enthusiasts, this immersive course is guaranteed to leave you hooked on kitesurfing.

  • The minimum age is 16 years.

    There is no specific requirements regarding maximum size, but you will need to fit into a harness. Please check with the centre when booking if you have concerns regarding this.

    You must be comfortable in the water.

    If you have a particular medical condition that you think may affect your ability to do the course, please check with the centre when booking.

  • All equipment will be supplied - this includes kite, board, wetsuit, harness and helmet. You just need to take a change of dry clothes, a swimming costume and a towel.

    If you have your own kit and want to use it for the lessons, please check with the centre first.

  • Kitesurfing centres are open from March to November.

    Participants: The Three Day Kitesurfing Course in Poole is for 1 participant.

    Spectators Allowed on Site: Yes

    Group sizes vary but will usually be 2 - 4 students perinstructor. Spectators are welcome, but please listen to theinstructors as to where the safest place to stand and watch is.

  • Experience Duration: 23:00

    Time Spent at Venue: 23:00

    The course will last five to six hours per day over three days. The start times vary due to tide times.

    • Minimum Age: 18 years
    • Maximum Age: 65 years

  • Kitesurfing is a weather-dependent sport. Basically, you need wind! Depending on the location, you may also need wind in a particular direction. The tides also play a part with many locations not being able to teach at high tides.

    Please make sure you call the centre either the day before or on the actual day of your course to check that your lesson is going ahead.
