About the experience

There’s no better way to enjoy a regal summer’s afternoon in London, than with a trip to tour the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace, followed by lunch for two at the prestigious Royal Horseguards Hotel. From mid-July to the end of September, the public has a limited opportunity to be allowed inside what is one of the few working palaces left in the world - and undoubtedly, the most famous - for a tour of its grand and opulent 19 State Rooms, where The Royal Family have held numerous celebrations and welcomed some of the most renowned Heads of State in the world upon their arrival in the UK. As you might expect, they are all well maintained and looked after with maximum precision. Everything is run like clockwork, and that includes the security measures which you will have to go through even though you’ve got advanced tickets. But what a pay off it will be queuing to get in for this most sought after of things to do in the Capital, as you marvel at the historic, the rich decor and take it all in. Audio guides are available for visitors, and they’re a great way to accompany your tour so that you really don’t miss anything that’s available for viewing. To finish, you’ll take a walk along The Mall from The Palace to Embankment, where you’ll find the historic Royal Horseguards Hotel, to enjoy a two course lunch that’s been laid on by the hotel’s esteemed chefs, with your choice of starter and main course or main course and dessert!
