Long associated with the World Rally Championship, the Subaru Impreza is now yours to take the wheel of and hit the rally stage on this exclusive new driving package, hosted at our Bovingdon Airfield venue in Hertfordshire. So for those who've fancied a chance to follow in the footsteps of a Colin McRae or a Petter Solberg, this is your chance to learn under a qualified rally driving instructor, as following a series of sighting and passenger laps, you'll enjoy 8 laps driving a four-wheel drive Subaru Impreza, receiving expert intuition on how to perfect your slides out of corners, your handbrake techniques, or achieve a 'Scandinavian flick'!

Itinerary

  • Arrival and sign on
  • 30 minute introductory briefing: covering racing lines, throttle/braking technique and track day safety etiquette
  • 4 x sighting laps including 1 high speed passenger lap in a Subaru Impreza ‘Hawkeye’ rally car on our dirt stage
  • 8 laps driving around our dirt rally stage in a 4wd Subaru Impreza with a co-driver navigating your route
  • Expert tuition on how to power slide out of corners and the iconic ‘Scandinavian Flick’ and the use of the handbrake to pitch the rally car into the corner

  • Please allow up to 1 ½ hours at the venue.

  • Extra laps and passenger laps can be purchased on the day. Optional Damage Liability Reductions (ODLR) can be purchased on the day from £25. Without ODLR, drivers will be liable to pay the full insurance excess on any vehicle they damage.

    • For drivers aged 17 - 80, a full Manual or Automatic UK licence or International drivers licence is required to partake in this experience
    • In the event that you are an automatic licence holder and the automatic cars used on this experience are limited or unavailable on the day, you will be offered the chance to drive an automatic car from the upgrade fleet free of charge
    • If you only have an automatic licence but have experience with stick and clutch, you may also choose a manual car, but this will be at the instructor's discretion
    • You must be physically fit with no serious health conditions
    • Glasses must be worn if necessary
    • Flat soled shoes must be worn
    • Helmets are supplied at the venue
    • If you wish to book a weekend date you must pay a surcharge per driver
    • When ordering a voucher or booking a date for Bovingdon Experiences you also agree to the additional Bovingdon Terms and Conditions
