Knife handling is the foundation of confident cooking, and this hands-on class focuses on teaching you how to use your knives both safely and efficiently. Hosted at a purpose-built cookery school in central London, you will be welcomed by an expert instructor, kitted out with an apron and professional chef’s knives, and guided through the fundamentals of chopping, slicing, dicing, peeling and filleting.

Through a mix of demonstrations and practical exercises, you will learn how to achieve clean, precise cuts while improving speed and control in the kitchen. You will put your new skills into practice by preparing a selection of dishes such as minestrone with pesto, filleted and grilled catch of the day, and caramelised orange segments. At the end of the session, you will take home recipe cards and your freshly prepared dishes. Ideal for aspiring chefs and home cooks alike, this course provides the skills and confidence to elevate your cooking.
