About the Experience

Experience Days Tours: Discover London’s legendary rock and roll heritage on this fascinating three-and-a-half-hour walking tour for two. Journey through some of the capital’s most iconic musical neighbourhoods, including Soho, Camden Town, Islington and St John’s Wood, as you uncover the places where artists such as The Beatles, David Bowie, Genesis and Marc Bolan made music history.

Your tour begins at the Duke of York Column Monument, where you will meet your guide and fellow music fans before setting off to explore London’s colourful rock and roll past. Along the way, you will visit more than 50 iconic locations connected to some of the biggest names in music. See where The Beatles wrote ‘Yesterday’, discover the venue where Bob Dylan played his first London gig, and visit the pubs, clubs and recording studios that helped launch legendary careers.

But London’s rock history isn’t all chart-topping hits and sold-out shows. Your guide will also reveal some of the wild, rebellious and darker stories behind the music, from tales of notorious parties and bad behaviour to moments that shocked the industry. You will pass former homes associated with Elton John, the Sex Pistols and the Gallagher brothers, discover the site of producer Joe Meek’s tragic final days, and visit locations connected to the life and legacy of Amy Winehouse.

Packed with fascinating stories, famous landmarks and musical history, this walking tour is a must for rock and roll fans looking to experience London from a whole new perspective.
