Wine Tasting & Vineyard Tour with Ploughman’s Lunch – Sedlescombe, East Sussex. Enjoy a day of wine and relaxation at Sedlescombe, England’s oldest organic vineyard. Nestled in the heart of 1066 Country and surrounded by ancient bluebell woods, this picturesque vineyard combines traditional winemaking with innovative biodynamic methods for a truly unique experience. Your visit begins with a guided stroll through the vines, where you’ll discover the fascinating history of English wine production and learn how biodynamic techniques are shaping the future. From there, you’ll head into the winery, where an expert host will show you the processes of pressing, fermenting, blending, and bottling. The highlight of your tour is a tutored tasting session. With tasting notes provided, you can record your impressions as you sample a selection of Sedlescombe’s award-winning wines, each with its own distinct character. The tour and lunch package continues with a traditional Ploughman’s lunch. Served with locally sourced ingredients and accompanied by a glass of house wine, it’s the perfect way to complement your tasting and enjoy the vineyard’s relaxed setting.
