About the Experience

If you've always been more intrigued by scales than fur, this reptile experience in Alsager, Cheshire, is just the thing for you. You'll spend an hour at one of the area's top exotic animal centres, meeting a whole range of fascinating cold-blooded creatures. From curious snakes and colourful lizards to slow-moving tortoises, you'll get the chance to see, touch and learn about them all. Your friendly guide will introduce each species, sharing amazing facts about where they come from, how they behave in the wild, and what makes them so unique. Reptiles have been around for hundreds of millions of years, long before mammals showed up, and though the mighty dinosaurs may be gone, their distant relatives still carry that prehistoric charm. Luckily, you won't be bumping into a T-Rex, but you will meet plenty of scaly characters who are far friendlier (and a lot easier to handle). After your session, you can take a stroll around the zoo and see what else catches your eye. It's a brilliant way to spend a day for anyone who loves animals, nature, or just fancies doing something a bit different. Whether it's a treat for yourself or a gift for someone wild at heart, this reptile encounter is bound to be a memorable experience.

  • The minimum age of this experience is 6 years old, however participants under the age of 11 will need to be accompanied by a participating adult. Participants aged between 12 to 18 must be accompanied by an adult spectator.

  • Please wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.

  • Spectators are welcome at the Reptile Encounter, you may take pictures from the sidelines, but please note that flash photography will not be permitted. Spectators will be required to pay a £5 fee.

  • You should expect to be at the centre for approximately one hour, with forty minutes spent with the Reptiles. This experience takes place at 11am, 7 days a week, year round. All dates are subject to availability at the time of booking.

    • Minimum Age: 6 years

  • This experience takes place indoors, therefore will not be affected by the weather.

  • Unfortunately, the Reptile Encounter in Cheshire is not wheelchair accessible.
