It’s a fantastic location for learning to paddleboard, and if conditions are too choppy on the day, your instructor will choose a more suitable spot in the Southampton area. After an introduction covering safety, weather and tides, you will be provided with a paddleboard and paddle suited to your height. Wetsuits are also available to hire when booked in advance. With your instructor focused entirely on you, you will learn everything from safely entering and leaving the water to essential paddling techniques. Beginners can start by kneeling on the board before progressing to standing when they feel comfortable – there’s no pressure to rush. You will then have time to practise your new skills along the Lee-on-Solent shoreline, with the possibility of some fun paddleboarding games and challenges too!
