About the Experience

If you’ve ever dreamed of seeing dolphins and whales in the wild without hopping on a plane, this Whale and Dolphin Watching Experience in Wales is just the ticket. You’ll start your day by meeting your friendly skipper at the harbour before being kitted out with a life jacket and shown to the boat. Once you’re settled on board, the adventure begins as you cruise out past Ramsey Island and make your way towards Grassholm, which is home to one of the largest gannet colonies in the northern hemisphere as well as plenty of other wildlife. From there, you’ll head towards the lighthouse and out across open water, travelling up to 20 miles on this two and a half hour trip. With a 90 per cent success rate for sightings, the chances of spotting dolphins, whales, seals and a whole variety of seabirds are looking good. The Celtic Deep is a prime spot for marine life so keep your eyes peeled and your camera ready. Whether you’re treating a wildlife enthusiast in the family or just fancy a memorable day at sea, this Pembrokeshire adventure is a brilliant way to get close to nature and soak up some fresh coastal air.

  • Although there is no official minimum age, it is strongly advised not to bring any children under the age of 8 onto this experience.

    Please note: The animals on this experience are in their natural (and vast) habitat, we therefore cannot guarantee that you will see Dolphins and Whales during your trip. However, the team will be sure to ensure you have an unforgettable experience and will take you to many beautiful sights and locations along the way!

  • You will be provided with a life jacket upon arrival of the Whale and Dolphin watching experiences. It is advised that you wear warm and waterproof clothing as you are likely to get wet! (Jackets can be provided upon request)

  • The maximum capacity of each boat is 12 people, however remember this voucher is for one participant.

  • This Whale and Dolphin experience will last approximately 2.5hours.

    Please ensure you arrive at the centre at least 45 minutes prior to your booking.

  • All trips are subject to weather and sea conditions. Please ensure you contact the centre prior to your trip to ensure weather and sea conditions permit sailing.

    This experience is highly weather dependent and will only run in 'peak' dolphin season between the months of May - September.

  • The Pembrokeshire Whale and Dolphin Watching Experience takes place on an open RIB powerboat.

    All participants will receive a safety briefing before boarding, and life jackets are provided for added safety.
