About the Experience

Embark on a full day adventure from Edinburgh and explore the real Scottish locations that helped shape the world of Outlander. Settle into a comfortable air-conditioned coach as your guide shares relaxed and engaging commentary about the area’s history, its striking landmarks and the stories that link each stop to the series. Both tour routes differ slightly, yet each takes you to the highlights fans know and love. You will visit Linlithgow Palace, the setting for Wentworth Prison, and wander around Blackness Castle, once the on-screen headquarters of Black Jack Randall. There is time to enjoy Callendar House, famous for its grand kitchen scenes, and the beautiful Royal Burgh of Culross, which many will recognise as the home of Claire’s herb garden. Some departures also include the elegant Hopetoun House, a gem of seventeenth century architecture. Throughout the day you can expect wonderful scenery, friendly guiding and countless chances to take photos. It is a brilliant outing for visitors and locals, and a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves the show. Entry fees may apply and are not included in the voucher.
