The "Rangle" taster experience is perfect for all ages and provides an insight into the fascinating world of birds. During your one-hour session, you will spend time meeting and flying several species. Each bird has its own unique character, such as Bamu, the cheeky African Spotted Eagle Owl who loves plane-watching under the Gatwick flight path. Fly a variety of birds throughout the experience, with up to five different species to meet on your day. You can also choose to focus on a Hawk Walk during your one-hour or half-day experience.     'Rangle'

    • One hour bird handling experience
    • Options include handling and flying owls, a selection of birds of prey or a walk across the countryside with a hawk
    • Up to 2 adult spectators per booking are welcome to attend for an additional charge, payable when booking your date
    • Spectator tickets must be pre booked when you make your booking

    Current spectator charge:

    Rangle:

    • £15 per person
    • Please do not bring along babies, infants, toddlers or children under 8 years old with you. Please arrange suitable care for them beforehand; or a member of your party can take the children to the café or play area on the farm
    • 'Rangle' Minimum age is 8
    • Under 16s must be accompanied by a participating or spectating adult
    • Selected weekdays and weekends between February and November
    • Dates and session times are subject to availability and weather conditions
    • Full day experiences generally start at 10:15 am finishing around 4:15 pm, this experience only run on specific dates throughout the year
    • Minimum Age: 8 years

  • You are Advised to Wear

    • Warm / Waterproof clothing in neutral ‘country’ colours
    • Long sleeves are recommended, even on warm days
    • Walking boots or sturdy, waterproof footwear
    • Hats and Gloves etc. (even if the weather is good at the outset, it can suddenly deteriorate)
    • Birds of Prey do not like strange dogs - please leave your dog at home or a member of your party can take the dog for a walk on the paths at the farm

An unforgettable morning. The range of birds was definitely the WOW factor. The instructors were welcoming, knowledgeable and informative. There were three people on the course but we all got at least three goes at flying each of five birds. I would recommend the experience.

Our day turned out very wet. We did not receive a cancellation so travelled to the site. Birds cannot fly well in the wet but the people were very happy to let us carry out the experience under cover. In fact we had a superb time. My grandson is only 7 but he thoroughly enjoyed himself and the ladies were very informative and answered all his questions. He held the birds and the final bird, a Harris hawk took place outside as the rain had stopped. Would recommend this experience to others, wonderful time. We intend to go back next year.

Very enjoyable half day experience. Very informative. Really helpful when having to rearrange visit owing to bad weather. Enjoyed the owls but disappointed that I only experienced flying one aging hawk.
