Lorry Driving Experience in West Sussex! Ready to take the wheel of a real 44-tonne truck? Book a lorry driving experience near Arundel and enjoy around 40 minutes behind the wheel of a Class 1 Volvo FH with a 45ft double-axle trailer. Sessions last about an hour and are run by a family-owned, professional driver training school, so you’ll be learning from the pros who do this every day. Their experienced instructors are brilliant at helping you feel confident and in full trucker mode. Your experience takes place on the wide tarmac roads around Ford Airfield, perfectly located between Chichester and Worthing. With no regular traffic and plenty of open space, it’s the ideal setting to get to grips with HGV driving. After a safety briefing and a demo drive, it’s over to you. From learning how to move off smoothly to mastering braking and stopping distances, you’ll get a solid feel for handling a full-size lorry. Once you're comfortable, you'll take on more advanced manoeuvres like reversing into a loading bay and weaving through a coned slalom course, putting your steering precision and spatial awareness to the test. Open to anyone aged 16 and over (no licence required, just a minimum height of 5ft), this is a unique, fun and educational introduction to the world of HGV driving.
