And if you fancy seeing the North East's main city from the air, now's your chance with this exclusive aerial sightseeing tour for one in a private executive chartered helicopter! Taking flight from Newcastle International Airport, you'll start seeing the sights almost immediately, as you cruise through the air up the A1 motorway, past the Angel of the North, and you'll be blown away by how this magnificent feat of architecture looks from the sky. From there, you'll head over Birtley and Ouston, on towards Washington with the big Nissan car manufacturing plant, keeping an eye out for the Roman-style temple folly known as Penshaw Monument. You'll also take in Newcastle's magnificent coastline, including the gorgeous Marsden Bay and South Shields, as you fly over the estuary and start making your way up the River Tyne! It's instantly recognisable from its several bridges that cross the river, including the Tyne Bridge, the Millennium Bridge at Gateshead and the High Level Metro bridge, each one a lasting reminder of the industrial power behind Newcastle. You'll also be able to spot other iconic landmarks such as the Metro Arena, Grey's Monument, Newcastle Castle Keep and the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art. And for those are self confessed Magpies, a flight over the home ground of Newcastle United F.C - St. James' Park - will definitely be in order!     • 30 minute sightseeing flight in a jet powered helicopter
    • Pre flight safety briefing
    • Sights include; Bridges over the Tyne, Angel of the North, Penshaw Monument and St James' Park football stadium
    • Flights are taken in either a Bell Jet Ranger (4 seater) or Bell Long Ranger (6 seater)
    • You will form part of a group of 4-6 passengers
    • Please allow one hour on site for this experience
    • Selected weekends between April and October
    • Dates are subject to availability and weather conditions
    • Minimum age 6
    • Under 12s must be accompanied by a participating adult
    • Maximum height 6ft 6ins
    • Weight restrictions: maximum 15 stone* please see anything else section
    • Spectators are welcome and may take photographs
    • Upgrades to a co-pilot experience are available for an additional fee when booking your date (subject to availability)
    • Minimum Age: 6 years
    • Maximum Weight: 95.00 kg
    • Flying activities have maximum weights (per seat) to ensure health and safety, along with the comfort of fellow passengers
    • You must enter the passenger/participant weight at the time of booking an experience. If weight varies between the time of initial booking and the date of flight experience, it remains the responsibility of the customer to update their individual weight via their online account prior to flight
    • All passengers will be weighed before flight, and if a disparity exists between the weight disclosed and the actual weight (within reason), the passenger may be eligible to fly

    • Group size of One – Max 15 Stone (95kg)
    • Group size of Two – Max 30 Stone (190kg)
    • Group size of Three – Max 43 Stone (273kg)
    • Group size of Four – Max 56 Stone (355kg)
    • Group size of Five – Max 63 Stone (400kg)
    • Group size of Six - Max 75 Stone (475kg)

    Please Note:

    • The maximum weight limit for the Co-Pilot Seat on a helicopter pleasure flight varies depending on aircraft and other operational considerations, but will not exceed 95kg
    • If, as a party of one, you weigh in excess of 15 stone, you may still be able to fly; however, you will need to purchase an additional seat. This seat will either remain unoccupied or can be occupied by an individual, as long as the combined total listed above is not exceeded. However, a total individual weight of 21.5 stone cannot be exceeded
