Surrounded by legendary race teams and heritage, this isn’t just a driving day, it’s a proper rally pilgrimage. You will get behind the wheel of two iconic rally-spec machines: the classic Mk II Ford Escort RS2000 and the legendary Subaru Impreza WRX STi. These aren’t dressed-up road cars — they’re fully prepped competition models complete with roll cages, race harnesses and bucket seats, and they’re unrestricted, so you will experience the full force of their rally power. Over this half-day Monte Carlo session, you will tackle the gravel stages, mastering slides, throttle control and precision cornering under expert instruction. There’s even a timed lap showdown to put your skills to the test. Fast, sideways and gloriously noisy — this is Monte Carlo rallying brought to life in Oxfordshire.

    • Drive an Escort RS2000 and Subaru Impreza WRX STI on a purpose built rally stage
    • Short briefing given by the instructor covering safety, day format, cars, techniques etc
    • Learn the fundamental techniques for both 2 and 4 wheel drive rally cars
    • Gain the skills to get maximum performance from both vehicles
    • A rally certificate will be awarded on completion of the course
    • You will form part of a small group with 5 or 6 drivers

    Monte Carlo Half Day Experience

    • Enjoy the thrill of handbrake turns, power slides and Scandinavian flicks
    • Learn how to control a car in understeer and oversteer
    • Allow 3 hours on site for this experience
    • Bicester shopping village is nearby
    • BandB's, local pubs and restaurants can be recommended (Please ask a member of staff on the day and they will be happy to advise you)
    • Hot and cold refreshments are available to buy from the on-site bar
    • Spectators are welcome at a charge of £10 per person, on the understanding that they sign a declaration of indemnity
    • Spectators will have the opportunity for Rally hot rides, subject to cost and availability
    • Dedicated viewing areas with seating are provided.
    • You must hold a valid driving licence
    • There are no height or weight restrictions as fully adjustable seats are used
    • Casual clothing should be worn along with trainers or thin-soled shoes
    • It is advisable to bring a jacket or warm clothing in the winter months
    • Available all year round on both weekdays and weekends
    • Monte Carlo: Morning or afternoon sessions available (9:30-12:45 and 13:15-16:00)

Really enjoyed this afternoon. Really well run, brilliant instruction and just fun, fun, fun. Both me and my brother who also attended want to do it again and we will be taking a few friends back with us too.

W e had a really good mornings tuition and it was great fun getting behind the wheel of a Ford Escort rally car. The only thing we both felt was that rather than have a couple of laps in the Subaru Impreza we would have rather stuck with the Escort, but overall a great experience .
