Animal Experience Days: Come face-to-face with these cheeky and curious creatures during an unforgettable meerkat encounter in Cheshire!

Perfect for animal lovers, the Meet the Meerkats Wildlife Experience offers the chance to get up close with these fascinating animals, learning all about their behaviour while enjoying their playful antics.

Your adventure begins at the Discovery Centre, where you’ll meet your expert keeper for a short health and safety briefing before stepping inside the meerkat enclosure. For the next 40 minutes, you’ll interact with the inquisitive meerkats as they climb, scurry, and explore around you. With plenty of photo opportunities, you’ll also have the chance to ask questions and discover fun facts from the keeper. Once your meerkat session ends, you’re free to continue exploring the rest of the zoo at your leisure.

Meeting these confident, sociable animals in such a relaxed setting makes this experience truly special. The Meet the Meerkats Wildlife Experience in Cheshire is a wonderful day out and a unique gift for any animal enthusiast.

  • Minimum Age: 6

    Participants under the age of 12 will need to be accompanied by a participating adult.

    Participants aged between 12 to 18 must be accompanied by an adult spectator.

    Unfortunately, the Meet The Meerkats Experience is not wheelchair accessible.

  • Please wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, as the meerkats will no doubt be climbing on you.

  • This experience takes place at 11am, 7 days a week, year-round.

    All dates are subject to availability at the time of booking.
