Introducing helicopter lessons out of Bournemouth! This flight school offers training in four-seater helicopters departing from Bournemouth International Airport, providing the stunning backdrop of the Dorset coastline. The landaway adventure includes two flights (outward and return) and extended time at the controls. The Bournemouth-based team uses Robinson R44 helicopters for training, known worldwide for their excellence as four-seater trainers. Before getting up close with the aircraft, you will receive a pre-flight briefing and meet your pilot instructor. Once the safety briefing is complete, you'll head out to the helipad, conveniently located in front of the clubhouse on the civil aviation side of Bournemouth Airport, perfect for friends and family to watch. During the pre-flight checks, you will learn about the function of each control. With the rotors turning, you'll be soaring above the airport before you know it. The main flight path takes you directly towards the Dorset coastline, travelling along the beach. If you live locally, it might be possible to create an itinerary that allows you to fly over your house. If you develop a strong interest in helicopters, the lesson time can count towards your PPL-H license, which you can continue pursuing at this welcoming school in this wonderful part of Dorset.
