Land Boarding Experience Days: Learn to Land Board with this thrilling Hampshire land boarding lesson. Harness the power of a traction kite and master the fundamentals of land boarding – a fantastic dry-land alternative to kitesurfing for days when the water (or conditions) just aren’t playing ball.

This lesson is the perfect introduction to the exciting world of kite sports. Often described as kitesurfing’s drier little brother, land boarding offers all the adrenaline without the need for water. It’s ideal when conditions aren’t suitable for kitesurfing, but it also stands strong as an extreme sport in its own right – with the potential for some serious air once your skills progress (and after a bit of practice!).

Your one-day introductory Land Boarding experience in Hampshire is packed with fun, but it’s also a focused and rewarding lesson. You will learn essential kite control techniques and safety skills, building the confidence you need to get up on the board and start developing more advanced moves. It’s undeniably great fun – just be warned that a few bumps and bruises can come with the territory!

The experience begins with a short safety briefing from your expert land boarding instructor, followed by an introduction to the equipment, including the land board, kite and harness. Then it’s time to get started. You will first learn how to fly and control traction kites, allowing you to understand and manage the power they generate. Once you are comfortable with the kite, you will move onto the board and enjoy your first runs across the land.

  • The minimum age is 16.

    There is no specific requirements regarding maximum size, but you will need to fit into a harness - Please check with the centre when booking if you have concerns regarding this.

    If you have a particular medical condition that you think may affect your ability to do the course, please check with the centre when booking.

  • All equipment will be supplied - this includes kite, board, harness, helmet and pads. You should wear trainers and clothes that you don't mind getting muddy.

  • Land boarding is available from May to October only.

    Participants: The Land Boarding Hampshire - One Day Course is for 1 participant.

    Max Group Size: 4

    Spectators Allowed on Site: Yes

    Group sizes vary but will usually be 2 - 4 students per instructor. Spectators are welcome, but please listen to the instructors as to where the safest place to stand and watch is.

  • Experience Duration: 5:00

    Time Spent at Venue: 5:00

    The course will last five hours over the course of a day.

    • Minimum Age: 16 years

  • Land-boarding is weather dependent, you need wind! Please make sure you call the centre either the day before or on the actual day of your course to check that your lessons is going ahead.
