About the Experience
Kite Surfing Experience Days: Two-Day Kitesurfing Course – Learn to Body Drag, Board Start and More! IKO Level 2 Likely
Kitesurfing is the ultimate adrenaline-fuelled water sport, combining the thrills of surfing, wakeboarding, snowboarding, windsurfing and powerkiting into one unforgettable experience. Harnessing the incredible power of the kite, you’ll feel the rush of skimming across the water, catching waves, and even soaring into the air – it’s unlike anything else. Thanks to modern equipment and BKSA (British Kitesports Association) teaching methods, learning to kitesurf has never been more accessible or exciting.
Day 1 kicks off with an introduction to the sport, covering theory, equipment, safety, and understanding the environment. You’ll start by flying power kites on land before hitting the water to try your first body-dragging session – being pulled through the waves by the kite! It’s exhilarating, challenging, and a huge amount of fun.
Day 2 is all about the board. You’ll begin with body-dragging techniques to retrieve your board, then progress to your first board starts. There’s nothing quite like the thrill of standing up and riding for the first time, and by the end of the day, you’ll be well on your way to becoming a confident rider. You’ll also pick up essential skills like edging and rules of the water, helping you progress to independent kitesurfing.
This two-day course is the perfect introduction for beginners and includes a BKSA progress card signed off by your instructor – a key step towards being able to kitesurf and hire equipment worldwide. Whether you’re aiming for a new hobby or simply want to try something unforgettable, this experience guarantees adrenaline, achievement, and a whole lot of fun.
