Kayak Experience Days: Treat them to a fun 90-minute introduction to kayaking, guided by professional British Canoeing instructors!

Kids will love this exciting kayaking session in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, where they’ll learn the basics of paddling under the watchful eye of fully qualified experts. It’s the perfect way to build confidence on the water while having loads of fun!

Sessions take place on the boating lake and River Leam in Mill Gardens — an idyllic, British Canoeing-approved centre that’s ideal for beginners of all ages. After a friendly safety briefing and an introduction to kayaking equipment, it’s time to grab a paddle and hit the water. Under the guidance of their instructor, kids will learn boat control, paddling techniques, and balance through a series of engaging games and challenges.

By the end of the 90-minute session, participants will earn their Start Certificate: Level One, marking their first official step into the world of kayaking.

  • You are advised to wear basic sports clothes suitable for the weather, and that you don’t mind getting wet. Sunscreen and hats are recommended for the summer months, and an extra fleece/jumper for the winter.
