Kayak Experience Days: Paddle your way through one of Sussex’s most scenic waterways with this unforgettable kayaking adventure along the River Cuckmere.

Perfect for families, friends or anyone with a love of the outdoors, this guided experience begins at Cuckmere Haven, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty known for its meandering river, abundant wildlife and sweeping views of the South Downs. After a full safety briefing and introduction to kayaking techniques from experienced instructors, you will set off along the gentle curves of the river towards the charming village of Alfriston.

As you glide inland, you will enjoy a completely new perspective of the Sussex countryside. Paddle through the peaceful Cuckmere Valley, passing rolling hills, thriving birdlife and even the famous chalk hillside figure carved into the downs. Upon reaching Alfriston, you will pause for a well-earned break before letting the outgoing tide help carry you back downstream.

Whether you are searching for a unique experience gift or simply planning a memorable day on the water, this kayaking trip promises fresh air, beautiful scenery and plenty of fun along the way.
