Rest your feet and explore this impressive area of the Jurassic coastline in a Helicopter Sightseeing flight. Walking this coastline also has its merit as you can take the route at a slower pace and enjoy it by foot, however, you can cover far more ground with this 20 minute tour that will cover 34 miles of this beautiful landscape. This route will take you along the River Sid to Sidmouth and through the red cliffs to Budleigh Salterton, where you’ll want to pause briefly and get your camera out as this is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty known for the impressive deep-red orange rocks. Throughout the flight, the pilot will drop down to 1000 ft so you can get a close up look of the landscape, and hopefully after getting some memorable snaps, the flight will then follow the Otter River over to Ottery St Mary, a quaint, picturesque town in South Devon. Not only is this flight a photographer’s dream due to the stunning views you simply can’t get from exploring on foot, but a nature lover’s idea of heaven as you witness the dramatic Devon cliffs from the air. If you’ve found yourself falling in love with the Jurassic coast this is the perfect experience to see it with new eyes as you hoover closely over the most picturesque parts and gain a clearer perspective of this impressive coastal landscape.

    Please Note:

    • The maximum weight limit for the Co-Pilot Seat on a helicopter pleasure flight varies depending on aircraft and other operational considerations, but will not exceed 95kg
    • If, as a party of one, you weigh in excess of 15 stone, you may still be able to fly; however, you will need to purchase an additional seat. This seat will either remain unoccupied or can be occupied by an individual, as long as the combined total listed above is not exceeded. However, a total individual weight of 21.5 stone cannot be exceeded

Not being very tall I found it hard to climb the high steps into the helicopter, but once inside everything was good. A wonderful flight, such an experience. Wearing hearing aids I missed most of the commentary but it didnt spoil the adventure. The ground staff were so helpful and we took advantage of the shelter of the caf before the flight.

My first flight was cancelled due to the weather conditions,however second time lucky. Left from Dunkeswell,good little place with a barcaferestaurant. On arrival met by 2 members of ground staff, must say they were excellent.The Jurassic flight was very good,just wished it lasted longer.The pilot pointed out various places, only 1 negative from the whole experience the pilot could of been a little more chatty, which would of encouraged the 5 of us to interact,instead apart from a few words from him, the flight was silent, which I found a little uncomfortable. Would definately recommend the experience for any age group.

I bought the ride for my husbands 60 birthday and I also wanted to know what it was like to fly in a helicopter and we thought it was perfect the booking was easy and every one was very nice I would recommend it to anyone and I would do it again myself

Took a while to get sent availability of dates, but after that everything went smoothly. We had a beautiful day for our flight, and the views were excellent. It is a bit cramped in the back of the helicopter 4 seats across and 3 of them occupied by largish men and this resulted in my wife feeling a little queasy. If you need more space pay the extra for the single front seat.

I bought this experience for my husbands birthday. I managed to book a slot the day after his actual birthday an easy process and all done online. I received confirmation emails promptly and the website was updated by 0800 on the day of the flight so we knew the flight was going ahead. The airfield was quite small but with a lot of activity but joining instructions were clear and we were met at the small restaurant by very professional and friendly ground crew. Safety was taken very seriously and a full briefing was given before my husband even saw the helicopter. An optional photo was taken and everyone got on board. The flight was the 20 minutes promised and although the route was slightly different from what had been promised it was spectacular and very enjoyable for my husband to see familiar places from a very unfamiliar viewpoint. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the trip and managed to take a number of excellent photos a couple are good enough to be made into prints for the wall.The only difficulty we had was the confirmation email wrapped around on my browser and I didnt realise the time of the flight had been changed we received a phone call from the ground crew and as we live not too far from the airfield we were able to get there on time something to watch for as it is not something I have ever experienced on my email before.
