About the Experience

Bird Of Prey Experience Days: Junior Owl Experience (Ages 8–12)

Perfect for children aged 8–12, this hands-on experience offers an unforgettable opportunity to get up close with some of nature’s most incredible owls.

Upon arrival, participants are welcomed by one or two expert handlers for a 90-minute interactive session. The day begins with a health and safety briefing to ensure everyone feels confident handling and flying the birds. Then, the fun really begins as children meet a range of beautiful owls, which may include the Boobook Owl, Long-Eared Owl, and Barn Owl.

Throughout the session, everyone gets the chance to handle and fly the birds while learning fascinating facts about their natural history, behaviour, and individual stories. Don’t forget a camera — there will be plenty of incredible photo opportunities!

This Junior Owl Experience makes a fantastic gift for young animal lovers who enjoy the outdoors. Spectators are welcome too, so you can watch as they handle and fly these magnificent birds for a truly memorable day out.
