In Nottinghamshire, our mini falconry experiences for juniors are fantastic! They offer just the right balance: long enough to pack in plenty of learning, yet short enough to hold attention, making them perfect for children as young as four. Everyone enjoys these hour-long sessions. In our raptor field, you will encounter a variety of birds of prey. Chief Falconer Dan takes great pride in his impressive birds. You'll quickly discover that each bird has its own unique personality and can be just as playful as the children! Meeting and flying both a Barn Owl and a Kestrel is truly incredible. While they do possess sharp talons, they are well-trained to land gently on your gloved hand; reward them with a tasty treat, and they will form a bond with you. This experience also doubles as an enjoyable outing in the Nottinghamshire countryside, as you’ll be situated within the grounds of a well-loved family attraction near Farnsfield. These experiences cater to children from four years old, and adults can also use the vouchers, allowing them to engage fully in the activities. Spectator tickets are available on-site for those who prefer to observe (£10 at the time of writing) and can accompany the children during their visit.     • Meet the birds and learn about the different species and their characteristics
    • Fly a Barn Owl and Kestrel (Eagle Owls may also be flown) to the glove 
    • Plenty of photo opportunities
    • You will form part of a small group of up to 6 participants
    • Experience lasts for approximately one hour
    • Please wear practical footwear and outdoor clothing
    • Spectators may attend for a fee payable on the day, cash only
    • Parents can purchase a voucher to handle the birds too and join the session to make it a whole family experience
    • Minimum age 4
    • Under 16s must be accompanied by a participating or spectating adult
    • During national school holidays
    • Sessions generally take place from 12:00 to 13:00
    • Additional times may be available during busy periods
    • Experiences are weather-dependent; your experience will be rescheduled if bad weather is forecast
