And this brilliant half day experience is perhaps the most perfect introduction to this traditional pastime possible. Your destination for this experience will be on chalk water lakes on the border between Wiltshire and Hampshire, in the Vale of Pewsey. Jamie is your host and fly fishing guide for your half day, and he is so passionate about the streams and lakes around here, and their protection and conservation, as chalk is a natural filter which helps keep the water fresh and pure for the fish to be in. Of the 200 or so chalk streams there are in the world, 85% of them are based in the UK, so you can why this is both something to be preserved and also a hidden treasure to marvel in the natural beauty of. And indeed, when you are learning how to fly fish, you're learning to be at one with the elements around you, as there is a study on insect life and fly selection, as well as, of course, choosing the correct equipment, tackling up, casting and hooking and landing your catch! Tuition is done on a 1:1 basis, so no matter what your prior level of fishing experience is, it'll be entirely tailored to you because it's suitable for all levels of aptitude!
