Voucher tickets for families and friends are available to purchase online. This iconic Napoleonic fort, lovingly cared for by the Fort Amherst Heritage Trust, comes alive with yuletide magic each December. Take a 90-minute interactive tour through the fort’s tunnels and ramparts and uncover its fascinating history—from defending the Chatham Naval Dockyard and the River Medway in the 18th century to serving as an Air Raid Warning Command Post during WWII. After your journey through history, enjoy traditional wassailing with singing, dancing, and festive merriment. Then, warm up with a Christmassy mince pie and hot drink, or indulge in the Christmas Cream Tea, featuring sandwiches, sweet treats, scones, and unlimited tea, coffee, or hot chocolate.
