About the experience

Product ID: 12313

Learn a new creative skill with a Glass Blowing Workshop. Either book 1 voucher to be in a session with another voucher holder or book 2 for your own session together. With 3 or 4 vouchers you will get a full day experience for your group. When you arrive you will be welcomed with an introduction and safety brief. You will be taught how to use the different tools and how to gather the molten glass in the glassblowing furnace. After picking what colours and style you will be helped by your tutor to make a glass sphere, paperweight or vase. Once you have completed your final piece it needs to be cooled overnight, so you can pick up your creation at a later date or have it delivered to you. This is a perfect gift for the creative loved one in your life.

What an amazing time I had. Ricky was a fantastic teacher giving clear instruction and guidance. He showed patience and made it enjoyable. I appreciated the incremental stages of learning how to gather, blow and shape the glass. Im so pleased with my creations and thoroughly recommend this experience.

I really enjoyed this experience. Ricky was a good teacher and made me feel completely at ease. He explained what would happen and what he would help me to achieve. Then the fun began You do need to be able to blow in a fairly steady and sustained manner and be fairly fit and independently mobile as there is a lot of very hot molten glass and some equipment to use and frequent movement between the furnace and working area. I was able to make four different items using colours of my choice and various techniques. Due to the long slow cooling time needed for the pieces you make, you have to wait several days for the results to be ready. Over all it was a very special birthday present.

Excellent experience. Ricky was so helpful and made it a fun and enjoyable morning. And you get to keep the items that you made. I would definitely recommend it.
