From there you continue to Eilean Donan Castle which sits on its own tidal island surrounded by three lochs and looks every bit as magical as you would expect. In the afternoon you make your way across the Skye Bridge to the colourful harbour town of Portree which is the perfect spot to stretch your legs and grab a bite. Afterwards you head into the heart of the island to take in the natural drama of Kilt Rock, the Old Man of Storr and later Strome Viewpoint. Each stop offers a chance to appreciate the wild beauty that makes this part of Scotland so special. You then return to Inverness feeling content, well travelled and armed with a camera full of memories.
