Take to the skies with a 30-minute flying lesson from Enstone Airfield, ideally located between Chipping Norton and Bicester in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. This friendly flying club operates distinctive fixed-wing aircraft. With their impressive wingspans, these aircraft offer an exciting way to experience the freedom of flight while taking in fantastic views from above. Before take-off, an experienced instructor will introduce you to the aircraft, explain the essential safety procedures and take you through the pre-flight checks. They will handle the take-off and landing, but once you’re settled at a cruising altitude of around 2,000ft, it’s time to discover what flying is really about. Your instructor will explain how the aircraft’s main controls work, including the elevator, ailerons and rudder, before giving you the opportunity to take the controls yourself. With guidance alongside you, you will experience the thrill of piloting the aircraft through the Oxfordshire skies. With virtually unrestricted airspace, two runways and beautiful countryside all around, Enstone Airfield provides a fantastic setting for your 30-minute introduction to flying.

My pilot Ray was very informative about the aircraft and the route we would be flying. Ray gave a smooth take off and probably having assessed me asked me to take the controlsjoystick while in level flight Ray also pointed out places of interest as we passed over them and followed with a smooth landing. A great experience and will thoroughly recommend this to friends and family
