Take on the ultimate flyboarding adventure in Yorkshire! Head to the freshwater lakes near Scarborough and experience one of the UK's most exhilarating watersports. Powered by high-pressure water jets, you'll rise above the water and enjoy the incredible feeling of flying. Your experience begins with a safety briefing before you're fitted with a wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet. You will then step into specially designed boots attached to the flyboard, which is connected by powerful hoses to a Personal Water Craft (PWC). The PWC pumps water through the board, creating the thrust that lifts you into the air. It may look challenging, but with expert instruction and the instructor controlling the water pressure, most beginners quickly find their balance and gain confidence on the board. Enjoy around 25 minutes on the water as you learn to hover, steer and fly above the lake. Set on a beautiful spring-fed lake just outside Scarborough, this North Yorkshire venue offers the perfect setting for an unforgettable, adrenaline-fuelled flyboarding experience.

    • A full safety and introductory briefing
    • All safety equipment, including a buoyancy aid and helmet, is provided
    • A 25-minute session on the flyboard
    • Tuition from a fully qualified flyboard instructor
    • Please allow approximately 1 hour at the centre for this experience
    • You must wear the equipment provided and follow the instructor's guidance at all times
    • Wetsuits are available to hire onsite for a £3 charge if required
    • Failure to do so will result in your session ending prematurely with no refund
    • All participants will be asked to complete the Medical and Disclaimer form upon arrival at NYWP; therefore, please make sure you know information such as medical conditions and emergency contact details
    • Please bring some swimwear to wear underneath your wetsuit and a towel
    • You are not able to wear glasses whilst learning to Flyboard; therefore, it is recommended that you either wearing contact lenses or prescription goggles or, if you are able to get by without glasses, remove them altogether
    • Jewellery should be removed prior to your session
    • Spectators are welcome to come along and watch the action
    • Minimum age 16
    • Under 18s must be accompanied on site by an adult
    • Weight restrictions: minimum 7 stone, maximum 18 stone
    • Participants must be swimmers confident in deep water
    • Anyone considered to be intoxicated by alcohol or other substances will be refused access to the Flyboard and refunds will not be given
    • If you have asthma or diabetes, please inform your instructor and keep your medicine close by the marina when Flyboarding
    • You cannot fly if you have an ongoing heart condition or are pregnant
    • Sessions run on selected Summer dates
    • Experiences are subject to availability and weather conditions
    • Due to popularity it is recommended you book well in advance
    • Session start hourly between 10:00 - 17:00
    • Participants should arrive 30 minutes before their booked session time

    Vouchers are valid for August and September 2026 dates only and must be booked and redeemed before 20th September

I bought this experience for my boyfriends 50th Birthday. It was cancelled in 2019 due to extreme bad weather. Then Covid in 2020. However finally he did it this year. Everything ran very smoothly. The event was extremely professional and well organised. Would recommend this event to anyone.

Fantastic experience.First time around, the weather had other ideas, but the team contacted me as soon as the forecast was looking bad and rescheduled the session for another day.Second time around, we were lucky and had great weather. The instructors were patient, clear communicators and it made the experience one to remember The video of the experience was a great keepsake.
