The Formula F1000 has been one of our most popular single seater race cars since we added it to our fleet many years ago. And now, we're proud to introduce our latest experience with the fastest such car we have available to drive, the all new F1000 Academy driving experience. Upon arrival at the venue, following your welcome and sign on, you'll meet with the driving instructor for a 30 minute briefing session. Both this and the subsequent passenger, reaction training and sighting laps in a track taxi car will get you accustomed to what to look out for - braking and acceleration points, racing lines, as well as general track safety and etiquette. Then, this powerful racing machine is yours to drive for a total of 6 laps, the first four of which will be under yellow flag conditions, and the remaining two with 1:1 instruction from the team. It's the perfect value way to get acquainted with even a small bit of what an F1 driver must feel!

Itinerary

Welcome and sign on
30 minute introductory safety briefing, covering racing lines, throttle/braking technique and track day safety etiquette
2 passenger laps of reaction training and car control in a track taxi
2 reaction training laps driving with car control in a track taxi
4 sighting laps including 1 high speed passenger lap in a track taxi car
4 driving laps in the F1000 Single Seater under yellow flag conditions
2 driving laps unrestricted in the F1000 single seater with 1:1 tuition from motorsport instruction team

The experience duration is approximately 90 minutes.

Extra laps and passenger laps can be purchased on the day. Optional Damage Liability Reductions (ODLR) can be purchased on the day from £25. Without ODLR, drivers will be liable to pay the full insurance excess on any vehicle they damage.

Vouchers are valid for 10 months from the date of purchase. Saturday dates can be booked for an upgrade fee. You can upgrade the validity when you order.

- Full Manual UK or International drivers licence is required to partake in this experience
- You will need to present the licence on the day, photocopies will not be accepted
- You must be physically fit with no serious health conditions
- Glasses must be worn if necessary
- Flat soled shoes must be worn
- Helmets are supplied at the venue
- If you wish to book a weekend date you must pay a surcharge per driver
- When ordering a voucher or booking a date for Bovingdon Experiences you also agree to the additional Bovingdon Terms and Conditions
- Boost upgrade available on the day for £19, subject to availability and weather conditions

In the instance of severe weather such as Snow, ice or dense fog your event may get cancelled and you will be offered an alternative date for your experience. Please refer to the events team's terms and conditions.

Selected weekday dates from January - December. Weekends run on selected Saturdays but require a surcharge to book (unless prepaid). Saturdays get booked up quickly so it's likely that only the early morning slots will be available unless you book well in advance.
