About the experience

Experience the awe-inspiring beauty of Stonehenge like never before with our exclusive helicopter tour! As one of the most recognisable neolithic stone circles in the world, Stonehenge is a true marvel of ancient architecture. Due to its UNESCO World Heritage Site status, visitors are no longer allowed to approach the stones closely. But, with our helicopter tour, you can get an up-close and personal view of this breathtaking monument. Your journey begins at Thruxton Aerodrome near Andover, then heads towards Wiltshire and over Salisbury, directly towards Stonehenge. As you cross the border into Wiltshire, you'll see a glimpse of "The Avenue," an ancient route connecting the site with the River Avon. This path is aligned with the sunrise on the summer solstice and leads to the discovery of Bluestonehenge, which was found in 2009. Upon arrival at Stonehenge, you'll witness the breathtaking sight of the monument. The circle, parts of which date back to 3100 BC, remains an enigma today, despite many theories about its purpose. Our helicopter tour offers uninterrupted views of this magnificent monument, allowing you to fully appreciate the scale and form of the rock pillars. Don't forget to bring your camera to this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Our helicopter tour offers an exclusive VIP-style sightseeing experience with uninterrupted views of Stonehenge. We offer two tour lengths: 15 and 30 minutes. The longer tour flies over the North Wessex Downs or Cranborne Chase, providing a spectacular prelude before arriving at the main event. Book your seat now for a bird's-eye view of Stonehenge and experience an unforgettable journey that you will cherish for a lifetime!

Customer Reviews for the Extended Stonehenge Heli Tour for Two - Hampshire

Nice trip. Would have liked pilot to point out other structures than Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral. eg the cursus barrows. And did we pass over Silbury Hill or Avebury Stone Circle or Durrington Walls I expect the trip would also be enhanced during crop circle season
