Dream of flying together alongside the Dreaming Spires that dominate the skyline of the historic and learned University city of Oxford? Now you'll both be able to do exactly that! This exclusive 30 minute helicopter sightseeing tour for two, departing and arriving at Chalgrove Airfield to the south east of the city, will let you explore Oxford from thousands of feet up in the air. Oxford's University is the oldest in English speaking countries, famed for its stunning Gothic architecture, picturesque city centre and being the place where many scholars come to learn from all over the world. So dubbed after Matthew Arnold's 1865 poem and love letter to the city, "Thyrsis", the Dreaming Spires of Oxford's many university and church buildings total around 40, including the colleges of All Saints, Christchurch, Keeble and Merton that make up the university, and they are quite a sight to behold from an aerial view. As indeed are the wealth of gorgeous chocolate box villages and towns that surround the city, which you'll get to explore on your tour as well. Your pilot on-board will point out all the key sights over the intercom on your headset, so you won't miss a second. Back at Chalgrove, you can relax and make a day of it visiting the airfield's on-site restaurant, bar and farm shop before and after the flight!

Overview

    • Flying activities have maximum weights (per seat) to ensure health and safety along with the comfort of fellow passenger
    • You must enter passenger/participant weight at the time of booking an experience. If weight varies between the time of initial booking and date of flight experience it remains the responsibility of the customer to update their individual weight via their online account prior to flight
    • All passengers will be weighed before flight and if disparity exists between weight disclosed and actual weight (within reason), the passenger may be illegible to fly

    • Please note that the maximum weight limit for the Co Pilot Seat on a helicopter pleasure flight varies depending on aircraft and other operational considerations (subject to availability upgrade payable direct)
    • If as a party of one you weigh in excess of 15 stone, you may still be able to fly however you will need to purchase an additional seat. This seat will either have to remain unoccupied or can be occupied by an individual as long as the combined total as listed above is not exceeded
